2. Paint Correction: If the car has any imperfections like swirl marks or scratches, it is recommended to perform paint correction before applying the ceramic coating. This process involves using a dual-action polisher and appropriate polishing compounds to restore the paint's finish.
3. Surface Preparation: After paint correction, it's crucial to prepare the surface for the ceramic coating. This involves using a panel wipe or isopropyl alcohol to remove any remaining polish residue, oils, or waxes. Ensure the surface is completely clean and free from any contaminants.
4. Application: Ceramic coatings are applied in a controlled environment such as a garage to avoid dust or debris settling on the paint. We begin by applying a small amount of the coating to an applicator pad or microfiber cloth. Work on one panel at a time, applying the coating in thin and even layers. Wash the car regularly, remove bird droppings or other contaminants promptly, and consider periodic inspections and touch-ups to address any areas that may have been compromised.
